It's finally here! Or...there. I did send in my absentee ballot, though, so I feel like a part of it even though I'm thousands of miles away!
And this really is an election for the world. People here in Germany are so excited to hear the results, and an overwhelming majority are hoping for Obama. I live in a very Catholic city, and the newspaper had an article this morning urging people to pray for an Obama victory! I also ran into a neighbor yesterday who said he got a new dog and named him Obama! People are really fired up here.
I am going to make chili tonight and settle in front of CNN to watch the early results come in. Unfortunately, with the time difference, I think it will be midday tomorrow before I will know who won!

I was thinking about you today and hoped you had voted. We used the big white board today to track how long people waited in line to vote. Kelli won with 2 hours and I waited 45 minutes. Most were just a few minutes though. Henry said he had no wait at all. Markey's birthday is Sunday so the girls brought in a potluck lunch for her (and invited me). They're a great group and they miss you.
I thought of you last night when the boys and I were watching the election. I'm happy to hear you voted! It's interesting to hear about the German enthusiasm - it is wonderful!!
I figured you would of voted. MN had 77% turnout... the highest percentage in the country. That's a plus to MN, I guess.
That was so fun being online with you when the election results came out. It was fun to hear the Germans (and you) hooting and hollering.
