A few random observations...

  • Muenster seems to have an above average number of tall people. Very tall.
  • Many farmers here drive new and stylish Mercedes sedans.
  • Muenster simply turns off many of the traffic lights at night, even on major roads.
  • The idea of a queue is not entirely embraced here.
  • When people here sing "O Tannenbaum", they don't sing "O Tannenbaum, O Tannenbaum", they sing "O Tannenbaum (pause) O Tannenbaum". Maybe not very interesting, but tricky to a non-German singer of the song.

There are certainly more, but these few always make me wonder.

I have fantastic things to look forward to in the coming days. I'll be sure to update you!

Chilly greetings from Germany.

How is the cheese?

Hey Kate. It is 2 below in Minneapolis today. How chilly is it there that you reference the cold????

The cheese is almost all Dutch, i.e. Gouda, which is not bad, but a bit boring after a while. And yes, I know it is cold in Minnesota, and I will not complain about the weather here! Chilly is sort of quaint, isn't it? It was below freezing throughout most of the day here, but still much better than Minnesota. Sorry! :)
